How to transfer ownership of a Box connected table from one user to another

Question

Various tables in an app are Box connected tables under an employee's Box account (User A). We need to move all the connected tables for this app from the current Box user (User A) to another user account (User B).

I wanted to confirm a few additional steps to what is outlined in the Help section noted below:

1) Move all the CSV files from User A's Quickbase Sync folder in Box to User B's Quickbase Sync folder. User A will need to give User B access to their sync folder.

2) Follow the directions per the Help below. Basically create a new QB Box connection using User B's Quickbase and Box account and then reconstruct the connection to each table with the same table and sync options as User A.

Is there a Help section that outlines the steps when transferring ownership of the connection?
Is there a simpler way to transfer ownership from one user to another?

Hi Paul,The steps you outlined in your post would be good steps to follow when transferring a Sync table to a new owner. The stumbling block for Sync table transitions most often come up with the permissions on the service the Sync is pulling from. For example in your instance if everyone has the right permissions on the source in the Box folder. Without the right permissions the outside system won't believe your new owner should be able to access that data and the Sync breaks but transitioning to a new connection after making sure the right permissions have been adjusted in Box helps prevent a disruption and errors in your sync.
