Increasing font size on form

What's the best solution to make an entire form's font size larger? I'd rather not have to build custom RTF fields just to make the font sizes larger for each field; I'd like to just simply have the entire form appear in a larger font.

  • A while back I found a community post (linked below) with a Rich Text formula to modify the field labels, though in my case it was to left align them rather than resize. You put the formula in one RTF field per table, then display that field on any form you want impacted. I typically stick this field at the bottom of my form and hide the label using the Alternate Label Text. I don't understand the mechanics, but having this simple formula in a field affects the entire form.

    LeftAlign field formula:
    "<img src onerror='$(\"table.LabelsLeft td.label,table.LabelsLeft label\").css(\"text-align\",\"left\");'>"

Since the forms are structured as tables, I imagine you could modify this formula to change the font size of the labels rather than the alignment. I have not tested this myself, though.

  • Hi Niraj,

Currently there is not a setting to change in a table or form to universally increase the size of the field labels. A work around I have used in the past in my apps when I am on a large screen is I have upped my browser zoom (it is great for days where I am feeling like I have had too much screen time and larger font is easier on the eyes). If the ability to more easily resize font in your Quick Base application would be helpful I would definitely suggest adding that to our User Voice so that the feedback can be seen by our product development team as well. The Quick Base User voice can most easily be accessed from the My Apps page in Quick Base by clicking on the orange Feedback tab that appears on the right of the page or at http://quickbase.uservoice.com by signing in with your Quick Base credentials. If you have any trouble signing in directly with the URL going through the Feedback tab on the My Apps page most often resolves them. If you do submit that feedback dropping a link back to it here in this community thread can help other users with the same need find it and show their support. Thank you for your time today.
