  • Sort of.

QuickBase cannot send any attachments in a subscription, so "no".

But you can set up a report and choose the format at the bottom of the report configuration to be Comma Separated Values. What will happen is that the user will receive the email and it will have that "Click here" button to see the report in QuickBase and it will open up as a CSV, typically in Excel as most users have Excel the default program for opening CSV files.
  • Thanks! I'm testing now. The customer is looking to import the CSV file into their data base (not  QB).
  • Thanks Mark.

What you describe is the closest I've been able to find too.

I would like the Subscription Notification to send the .CSV file, but it sends the nice formatted version in the e-mail.

The Click-Here link engages the open or save dialog box.

Excel tampers with the data (changes a long account number into exponent notation, even in a .CSV that is not supposed to have any formatting.   So saving it directly is best.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

  • In Zapier you can go from Gmail to Drive. The notification contains the html payload as an attachement you put in the Drive step File, Step1: attachment... In Drive you have an .html file (use that as an extension) you can download and open in a browser. Or open in Excel. (also use the setting Convert to document: no). In the Gmail step use New Attachment. Also you might want to limit it to a label so you can just get the attachments you're interested in. I used this template to get started... https://zapier.com/app/editor/template/9245
