Loan Data Base - Balances

Question

Hi all,Another loan database question. I need to create a formula for calculating previous balances on a loan and the current ending balance.I also need to be able to create a reconciliation report where our finance department can put in a start date and an end date and get the balance at the start of that period and at the end of the period.What is the best way to address each of these?
