Map Report from Summary Data?
I am trying to create a Map Report that shows the Quantity of assets (records). Each location could have dozens, if not hundreds, of asset records so individual pins for each record is time consuming...

No problem.
Make your perfect Map report with no filters. I suggest hiding this report from all Roles.
Then on a Summary report configuration screen, at the bottom, there is an option as to what report to use for the drill down. So sure drill down from a summary report into any report, including a map report.
