Missing field in table

I am using one table for 2 views. There is one field that shows as a field in one view but will not show up in the other view? I've tried selecting from Settings under the Default Columns, but the available fields box doesn't make this field available?  So confused. Why would a field in a table not show as available in multiple views?

    Define "view" Do you mean a form or the way a record is displayed, view mode, edit mode, or add mode? If you see the field in view mode and not in edit mode then go to the form settings and for that field element and check if it's set to only view in view mode.
