- MCFNeilQrew CaptainI believe that 'help text' is there by default and cannot be removed. Maybe they can add an option to make that be editable or removable in the next release.
- BethBethQrew Assistant CaptainIt's still there - I probably have it on other forms as well, but I just noticed it today (12-3-17) when creating a new form on a new table. Only five choices, and that's all we will ever have. Would dearly love to be able to hide or remove this within native Quick Base without having to resort to coding or a Service Provider.
- _anomDiebolt_Qrew EliteWell it's been ten months since you asked this question and no change. What do you think the odds are that QuickBase will prioritize this feature ahead of other more functional features? The probability is zero in my opinion and the rationale would probably include the argument that the text is not technically incorrect and that the current implementation does not break anything or disturb the normal operation.
Moreover, what do you think the product would look like if there were checkboxes turning on and off every feature users asked for? The solution is to have reasonable default behavior but the ability for users to customize point features. To implement this strategy of allowing a user to customize one-off micro features requires more access to script and HTML fragment templates. There is a long tail of features users want that simply can't be hard-coded into the product.- GauravSharma3Qrew CommanderHi Dan,
I have the scenario where I need to hide "Select up to 20 choices" text. I tried to check with some code and it's working in the console. But, when I tried to implement it with the IOL then, it is not working and has also tried to put the alert to check whether it is loading the js or not.
Can you please help me with that?
Thanks,
Gaurav
- jusToddjusToddQrew MemberPlease... Please ... Please ... Remove this Help Text! It seems such a simple thing.
When there are only 10, it makes no sense.
When you only want them selecting a few, it makes no sense.
A QuickBase developer should be able to define their own help text (and can).
Why is this even here? - RyanStanford1Qrew CaptainIf you know how to add JavaScript to the page you can remove it.
- MatGauvinQrew MemberHi Ryan ... where would one go about adding JavaScript to do this? Thanks!
