Notification- Field name is not showing up in the "Notify whom" drop down list.

Question

I've "Assignee1" field on the form and after saving any record notification needs to be sent out to this user.

I did build relationship and added email lookup field.

Then I created 1 new formula field which is pointing to the "Assignee1-Email" field. However, I'm still not seeing this formula field in the notification-Notify whom drop down list.
Please advise.

If you want to use a notification of type "Recipient", then you need to send the email to a userid so that Quickbase can evaluate Permissions.

If you rebuild (not copy) your Notification and make it of Type = Open, then you can sent to any email address.

I changed notification type to Open and now I'm seeing the new formula field in the dropdown.
