Hi Carolyne,
When making use of an Automation to create changes in a record there is a gap of time between when the record is saved and the Automations fire. What this means is that in the instances of a Grid Edit being saved or a Form being saved with possible changes there are times when a record will save and the next page will display before the Automations have a chance to run or finish running. There is not currently a built in function to have a page hold off on loading until after all Automations fire or to dynamically update as data changes, in that instance to be sure all changes appear you would need to refresh the page.
If you feel that having an Automation trigger and display changes on the page without needing to be refreshed would be valuable I would suggest adding that feedback to our User Voice page. User Voice is a tool our Product Development team use to track feedback from our users on desired features or enhancements. The Quick Base User voice can most easily be accessed from the My Apps page in Quick Base by clicking on the orange Feedback tab that appears on the right of the page or at
http://quickbase.uservoice.com by signing in with your Quick Base credentials.
If you do add to our User Voice I often suggest that users post a link to their request here as well so that other community members with the same need can add their vote and find the request. Thank you for your time and I hope this information is helpful.
