Is that your actual code or have you supplied a valid application token?

Hi Mark,
I am receiving an error when attempting to use a formula without saving the record in the 'In Progress' table (B). However, once I save the record in the 'In Progress' table (B), the same formula works fine
Thanks,
Manohar

Well, now we are just talking in circles. You asked that question many many posts ago, and the answer was that you cannot edit a record that has not yet been saved.
Then Mike provided you with the necessary code to have a different field, which would be a rich text formula field, which would allow you to save the record, and then added it in one click.
But evidently you are not using the code, so of course it's not going to allow you to edit a record that has not yet been saved.
You are also saying that it's giving an error on the app token, which is a different kind of error.SoYou are also saying that it's giving an error on the app token, which is a different kind of error.
So truthfully, you are leaving us quite confused about what your real question is.

I have two tables. I added a new record to the 'New Request' table (A) using the Quickbase auto-generate API button, and then attempted to add the same record to the 'In Progress' table (B) by clicking on the API button. However, I received an error message stating that the 'rid' parameter was missing.'In Progress' table (B) formula= "If(IsNull([Start Date]),URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_INPROGRESS] & "?act=API_EditRecord&apptoken=apptoken&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&_fid_45=" & URLEncode("Task Started") & "&_fid_6=" & Now() & "&rdr=" & URLEncode(URLRoot() & "db/" & [_DBID_INPROGRESS] & "?act=dr&rid=" & [Record ID#]) )"
Thanks,
Manohar

I think at this point you will need some one on one assistance on a screen sharing session. if you have a small budget for consulting services, contact me directly by the email in my signature line. Or else perhaps try a support ticket with Quickbase or else the Office Hours with Sam Trachy.
