6 years agoAre you just trying to fill the drop down choice? If so, you can kill the relationship and use a shared multiple choice field. By then you will not have a relationship to pull in lookup values.

Is a shared multiple choice field different from the standard multiple choice field?
More background to help understand the specific use case:
- The table that contains the values for the dropdown pulls in data from an internal source nightly so the multiple choice values would could change (new values could be brought in with newer data) so the dropdown would need to be dynamic.
- The dropdown also needs to drive a filter on an embedded report (selected value is the value the report is filtered to show related records). The way it is currently set up (even with repeated values) is currently doing this properly. If (from screenshot in original post) 'Analytics' was selected then the embedded report shows all records where 'Analytics' is in the 'Program' column.

You should be able to make a new field which uses the internal source nightly file as the source for the multiple choices. I believe that it will offer up dynamically the unique values contained in a field in that data at the time of selecting.
You can then make a Report link field and match up the selected value in that shared multiple choice field to a field on the embedded report, to get the filtered list. The filtered list will only show once the record is saved.
