Related Fields Cross - Apps

I am currently importing information from two apps into a third app - this third app has a number of related fields from tables within this app.  I am currently having to manually populate fields for the records that came in from the two other apps.  Is it possible for the app owners to re-create these fields in their apps - so they are already populate in the daily automated imports/syncs? I am an admin in their apps but they are not in mind. Would I have to create the new fields in their apps for them?
