Report on Home Page from different app

What I do while we patiently wait for the new dashboard experience which I assume will be discussed at Empower, is to create two reports. One version of the report I put on the dashboard and it has no dynamic filters or search bar because I disable searching and I also disabled drill down if it's a summary report or chart. I don't want to allow any drill down because then they escape the iFrame and they get headers within the webpage widget.

Then I put a button to a similar but different version of the report which has all the search bar's and dynamic filters at allows drill down.
