Require sample javascript code for creating a column highchart from a quickbase table

I need to create a HighChart using a quickbase table or summary report. I know that I would probably need to make HTTP POST request to QB API to run that report and use json for plotting the chart. But I am totally new to javascript so it would be very helpful if someone can help me with the javascript part of it or provide similar sample code work. I have searched on all forums and can't seem to find one
