Sending notification emails to an email entered in a form

Hi,

Has anyone been able to set up a notification for a form to be able to be sent to an email entered in that form? We'd like to send emails to clients regarding the status of their request form.

if you crate a new Notification and select  Type Open, at the top, then you can send emails to any random non user email address.

Thank you! Is there any way to have it automatically sent to the email given in the form (in the case of an EOTI form) or does that need to be done manually?

Once is the email has been entered into the form Quickbase doesn't really know or care how it got there. It can be used in an open notification.

  • It's no problem to send an email to an address entered in a form.  Once the form is saved, you can respond to either ADD or UPDATE a new record.  You can use the built-in Quickbase Notifications for the Table, or you can use a Pipeline (but the Pipeline requires that you can connect an email account, such as Outlook or Gmail).

Either way, if there is a valid email address in a field entered in the form, you can send the email when the form is saved.  No problem.  Just research the documentation for Notifications or Pipelines.  It doesn't matter if the table or form is internal or EOTI.
