6 years agoIt is easy to set up what are called "Open" type email Notifications to send a Notification on a Job as it changes status in production.
However, because you need some security, presumably as to who sees which jobs, you would not be able to allow your clients the ability to log into Quick Base or click a link to see all their jobs unless they had userids. I don't know how many clients you have, but if there are too many to each have a userid, you can allow only the larger clients to have a userid. (There are also special pricing plans available for that use case for "limited users" who might just be seeing a single report of "My open Jobs for My company".
So, yes lots of ways to start with simple email notifications as the job moves through different statuses and go from there to get fancier.

- RyanBeecher6 years agoQrew MemberSo basically what I am looking for is to be able to send emails automatically to alert the client of the status of the job. I wouldn't want them to log into Quickbase because I do have hundreds of clients. I just want my departments to be able to send out the status to let them know where the job is at in production and which department.

yep, easy-peasy.
Post back if you need help. here is some help text on setting up Notifications.

Note that if you have never sent Automated email Notifications to external recipients who are not users, you may need to contact Quick Base Support to open up your Realm Account to sending external emails. They often default new accounts "on the safe side" to restrict that ability.
