Tricky question on date field and formulas, please see the description for question.

I want to create a date field in which the conditions are: 1. If the date is today's date, automatically populate date field as today's date or allow the user to input the date to any other previous date from the calendar. Does anyone know how to add these rules to a field or any other solution?

    You can create a field type as date and on the Field properties  you can check the  Default Value as Today 

    I hope this will solve the issue !!

      I did that and added new rules to accomplish the task. Thanks
