Update Table Report View Question

Quick Base users in our organization want to be able to save column width adjustments that they make in the updated UI for table reports.  Is this possible or is it coming down the pipe?  The same question with normal view vs condensed.  Would users be able to save their preferences for a global view.

  • I recall at an EMPOWER session they said they were aware of the desire of users to be able to save or remember (per user) column width settings on the New Table Report experience and they were were aiming to have that feature.

  • Hi Josh, we are planning on adding something like this. We're considering the best way for these preferences to stick, such as column widths and record spacing (relaxed / normal / condensed). Would your users like to each have their own preferences saved, so one person can use relaxed spacing while another uses condensed? And would you rather the spacing apply to all reports, or just one?

Our users would like it to be a preference by the user.  So by default, if the user saved as normal spacing with no column width changes then that user would always see the report in that way BUT if a user made changes to column width and spacing then every time they came back to the report it would display in that same way.  Right now if they adjust column widths but then go into a record when they return they have to adjust again which is frustrating.

Thank you for the feedback that this will be coming in the future.  Our users will be very pleased to hear this.
