What do I do if I'm having trouble with my password reset?

[The Quick Base Knowledge Base is your library of frequently-asked questions that help you better customize your apps to solve your business problems.]

You have gone through the normal steps of resetting your password and you find yourself stuck.

Firstly, if you've clicked the "Forgot My Password" button on the sign-in screen but never received an e-mail from QuickBase confirm that the email address connected with your user account is the one you're checking for your password email message. QuickBase sends the password message to the same email address you used to create your user account.

Next, make sure that your address can receive email from QuickBase. Sometimes QuickBase mail gets caught in corporate spam filters. Check with your IT administrator to make sure that messages from "@quickbase.com" can get through and that the Quick Base email sever IP addresses have been whitelisted. Also, make sure that your company's mail queue isn't backed up or experiencing down time.

Alternatively, if QuickBase displays a message telling you that you can't change your password, then your user account is controlled by your company. Some companies link QuickBase user accounts to the central corporate directory. In this situation, you can't change your password from within QuickBase. Instead, the program displays a message informing you that you must change your corporate directory password and typically includes instructions on your companies specific point of contact or process for password resets. If you do follow through your companies process, QuickBase recognizes the change too.

Important:
