Save the Date - March 27th
Great News, we will be holding Boston Qrew Meetings on the 4th Wednesday of every month starting in March. March 27th we will have a virtual event (Leave a comment and let us know what time you prefer) We will try to hold an in-person event in April or May depending on how the numbers look. Quickbase is opening their new Boston Office, so we can try to set up a meeting over there so we can check out the new Digs! Let me know if you are interested in joining on the 27th! The link will be posted as soon as we receive some feedback on the time ------------------------------ Tammie King ------------------------------342Views0likes4CommentsBoston Qrew Meetup - May 21, 2025

👋👋Hello all👋👋 It was great to see you all on Thursday! Thank you @Tammie King for being such a gracious host! The view from your office is incredible, and the pizza from Market Basket was as good as advertised! And thank you @Josh Miller for presenting your experiences on scaling Quickbase. I've attached the slide deck we used at our meeting to this post. A few things I'd love to see out of this Qrew... 1) When do we want to do this again? 2) What's the format we should use? I've seen a few other Qrews have a member do a short presentation on a recent Quickbase feature they've tried to use in their apps. It allows other members to comment on their own experiences and work through best ways to deploy said feature. Anyone interested in doing this with a Pipeline? Or new forms? Or Formula Queries? @Tammie King and @Neil Beschle, I'll look to you two to lead the above and see if we can keep this thing rolling. There are so many amazing Quickbase experts in the Boston area, we should absolutely figure out the best way to make this Qrew Group a great resource for those local to Boston. I look forward to watching this group grow! If anyone wants to meet with me, please feel free to schedule a call in my Calendly (below). I'm always looking for ways to improve The Qrew. Here's a few photos that I took from our meetup! Best, ------------------------------ Ben Simon [email protected] Do you have Feedback on how to make Qrew Discussions a better experience? Does anyone have any experience with creating a button that will trigger a notification. I'm not sure what to do in the rich text field that will change a status that will be pick up by the notification to be sent. ------------------------------ Jeff Sykier ------------------------------261Views0likes1CommentPopulate a date field based on three others

What's the first thing you change about Quickbase today if you have a magic wand? I'll start...I'd make Pipelines have a way to see how many stepruns you're going to use before you actually hit "run". This would prevent any tests from going off the rails and make it safer for app and realm admins to use. ------------------------------ Ben Simon [email protected] Do you have Feedback on how to make Qrew Discussions a better experience? From Tammie: Hi Qrew, I have been hearing from a few people that there are conflicts with our meeting next week, and it is a busy week for many, so I am going to cancel our monthly meeting. Our next meeting will be held on January 21st. Before we all disappear into holiday food comas and temporarily forget what day it is, I wanted to say how grateful I am for this group. Our meetings have been welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely enjoyable. I love how everyone shows up with ideas, patience, and a willingness to help each other get better at what we do. I appreciate it more than you know. Whether we were troubleshooting something unexpected, sharing a brilliant shortcut, or convincing each other that yes, we can get this to work… you made it fun. And honestly, anyone who can make debugging feel like a team sport deserves an award or at least an extra cookie. I am really looking forward to next year, more building, more learning, more “wait… does that actually work?” moments, and more chances to get to know each other and find those times where everything just clicks and we all smile about it. (Or would that be “Qlix”?) Wishing you a warm, happy, and peaceful holiday season. I cannot wait to hear about the memories you made. Bonus points for stories that involve glitter, unexpected travel, or someone insisting a recipe is “very simple” and then handing you fourteen steps. My formula for field (CX Complete (F) ) is not including the start date as the first day worked. I'm expecting the result to be 10-06-2023 WeekdayAdd([CX Start (F)], [CX Duration (F) Days]) ------------------------------ Jeff Sykier ------------------------------85Views0likes0Comments
