This is the formula i have for the button: var text bgcolor = "#79c043"; var text txtcolor = "white"; var text style = "style=\"text-decoration: none; background:" & $bgcolor & "; border-radius: 5px; padding: 8px 20px; color: " & $txtcolor & "; display: inline-block; font: normal 700 24px/1 \"Calibri\", sans-serif; text-align: center; text-shadow: none;"; var text url = URLRoot() & "db/" & Dbid() & "?a=API_editRecord&rid=" & [Record ID#] & "&apptoken=TOKEN" & "&_fid_49=" & URLEncode("Appointment Approved") & "&rdr="&URLEncode("QuickBase CRM URL"); Field ID 49 is the status field ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ Re: "Approved By" Name Stamp AutomationIt changes the status to an "approved" status. ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ "Approved By" Name Stamp AutomationHello, I have set up an approval process within our CRM and part of the process is putting an "approved by" name on the request automatically when a user hits the "approved" button. The way I have this set up is an automation that puts the "last modified by" name in the approved by field. The issue I'm running into is it changes ALL records to that person instead of the individual record they are approving. I have put a date filter on this but the issue will still occur if there are multiple records with the same date. Is there a different way to accomplish this? ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------Re: Dynamic Rules Editing PermissionsI got you. Thank you that makes sense now. I appreciate your help! ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ Re: Dynamic Rules Editing PermissionsThank you. The problem is, once the new profile is saved- We want to lock down the ability to edit again. In other words, we want certain users to be able to add a new profile but not be able to make edits after the profile has been created. ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ Re: Dynamic Rules Editing PermissionsOr is there a way to set up a dynamic rule that looks for duplicate values and shows a message? ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ Dynamic Rules Editing PermissionsHello, I have locked down the majority of my fields for editing by non-admin users. However, I would still like to allow all users to create new entries. Is there a way to set up a dynamic rule for this? Right now when a user goes to add a new profile they can not edit anything. I'm thinking the answer is no, since the problem I am running into is that QB does not recognize the fields for this rule until a profile is created and the users can't create a profile because the fields are locked. ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ Linking to Profile from Table to TableHello, I have set up a series of automations and imports and have it working perfectly for my needs. The only thing I can not figure out is how to add a link to a profile from one table using import to another table. The way i have it all set up the table to table relationships aren't working. I will explain further: I have agencies in table A that get submitted for approval from table A. Through a series of automations and imports they will then appear on table B where they are approved or declined. I would like to be able to include a link on table B to the agency profile on table A. So when the person is reviewing the agency for approval they can easily click a link to the profile instead of having to search for it on table A. I know how to do this using relationship and I don't know if this is possible with out a relationship, but when i set up the table to table relationship, all the fields appear blank. Here is a screen shot of table B if it helps: My thought process- is there a way to set up a field on Table A that basically creates a link to itself that I can then set up to import over to table B? ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------ Approval Button/ ProcessHello, I have tried to find the answer for this but seem to come up short as I can't find a solution to exactly what i am trying to do. Here is the breakdown of what i am trying to accomplish: - I have a CRM with different tables. - I want to show profiles from table A on table B when a status is changed to a certain option (I set up an import for this but don't know if that is the best solution) - The purpose of table B is for someone to be able to approve or decline the profile so I'd like to just have easy buttons for the approver to press. - When the approver presses approve or decline the status changes respectively on both tables Here is this formula I have for the approve/decline buttons but I can't seem to get it to work correctly: var text bgcolor = "#34A853"; var text txtcolor = "white"; var text style = "style=\"text-decoration: none; background:" & $bgcolor & "; border-radius: 5px; padding: 8px 20px; color: " & $txtcolor & "; display: inline-block; font: normal 700 24px/1 \"Calibri\", sans-serif; text-align: center; text-shadow: none;"; var text url = URLRoot() & "db/" & [Record ID#]& "?a=API_editRecord" & "&_fid_22=" & [Status] & "&apptoken=*myapptoken*" & "&_fid_22=Appointment Approved" & "&_fid_22=" & [Status]& "&rdr="&URLEncode("Url to table B"); "<a " & $style & " href=\"" & $url & "\">Approve</a>" Here is a screenshot of what that looks like ------------------------------ Jessica Stevens ------------------------------
