I had picked the wrong item in the form... i picked "billing contact" which is the field in the table, however I should have chosen a newly added field which includes the relationship. see screenshot. ------------------------------ Johnny ------------------------------ Re: 2 picklists affect each other.update... I have added the 2 fields i need to the "jobs" table 1. billing contact 2. billing email I have added a new relationship which automatically got named "related contact3" screenshot attached. then I added those fields to the form. screenshot att. but the 2 drop downs are still synced. (change 1, then the other also changes to that value) ------------------------------ Johnny ------------------------------ 2 picklists affect each other.I'm a little rusty as it's been a few months since I changed anything. I'm struggling with this issue. I have a "job" form with a pick list of contact names from the customer "contacts table" I want to have 2 pick lists on the form, one is to pick the customer's project manager, the other is to pick the billing contact. my problem is that when I change one of the selections, the other details from the other picklist is changed. how can I have 2 of these? what am I doing wrong? screenshot attached of form & relationship diagram ------------------------------ Johnny ------------------------------ Re: Is there a formula that will retrieve the url of a file attachment field?[solved] the above solution did not work for me. The url is expecting a letter, not a number. Here is an example of the correct url. https://aaa.quickbase.com/up/bq8b53jdm/g/rs/ede/va/Estimate-xxxxxxxxxx.pdf I added a few more records until I ran out of alphabet letters and then I got the following link https://dti.quickbase.com/up/bq8b53jdm/g/r3/ede/va/Estimate-xysyssyysys.pdf but the record id for that is 25, so the record id does not fit in this space. eg if I use the record id on a different file, then the url produced is https://aaa.quickbase.com/up/bq8b53jdm/g/r12/ede/va/Estimate-xxxxxxxxxx.pdf which gives me a 404 not found page. I found another post about this here... [other post about attachment urls] It mentioned the encoded record id field, and in the end that is what solved my problem. In my formula text field I did something like the following. ============= var text textId = QB32Encode([Record ID#]); "https://xxx.quickbase.com/up/bq8b53jdm/g/r" & $textId & "/ede/va/" & [Saved Estimate Letters] also note that I could not use the qb32encode inline i.e. the following did not work "https://xxx.quickbase.com/up/bq8b53jdm/g/r" & QB32Encode([Record ID#]) & "/ede/va/" & [Saved Estimate Letters] ------------------------------ Johnnyny ------------------------------ Re: What is your normal support response time?I don't mind waiting for how to answers, it's the real issues that the community cannot fix is what I am worried about. In this particular case, my master user profile cannot create a valid user token. (other app users can create valid tokens). It's something that I believe only support can do anything about. ------------------------------ Johnnyny ------------------------------ Re: What is your normal support response time?thanks for responding. Unfortunately I'm not as lucky, my support rep gets back to me every day or 2 right now. I don't know if I can continue with this platform due to the support, luckily my issues have not been show stoppers, but what happens if they are showstoppers? ------------------------------ Johnnyny ------------------------------ What is your normal support response time?Currently I'm waiting days for each response to a support case. (including responses within the same support case) is this normal for the rest of you? ------------------------------ Johnnyny ------------------------------ Re: Filter Saved Report with APIyes, there is a feature when you are viewing a report in the top right there is a "more" link, it will list options, one of them shows the the current link It does not show up on every view of the report for some reason. ------------------------------ Johnny ------------------------------ Re: Filter Saved Report with APIyou can do it by building the query example of query in url https://[realm].quickbase.com/db/ ?a=API_DoQuery&query={'14'.BF.'today'}&apptoken=[appToken] {'14'.BF.'today'} - field 14 (end date) , occurs before today {'6'.OAF.'today'} - field 6 (start date), occurs either today or after today there is documentation, but its not simple. ------------------------------ Johnny ------------------------------ Re: Filter Saved Report with APIwhich api, then restful api? ------------------------------ Johnny ------------------------------
