Same user should only have one record with same date in that table. In most databases, that's pretty much standard feature to define your own Key based on combination of fields, but could not figure out how to handle this in QB. Any thoughts? I have a certain QB reports that I don't want my users to have to run in QB first and then go to More to export to CSV/Excel? For this update task, I provided info for all the required fields andit worked OK. However, it seems redundant that when you have a way to identify each record, but still need to provide info for fields that are not even being updated. ------------------------------ Muhammad Ghazali ------------------------------ Import to Update RecordsHi, I'm trying to update certain records in a table and providing QB with the unique field data to update only one field in that table. However, QB errors with message asking for data for other Required fields in that table. I'm using Import file feature and pulling data in from an Excel file with data for Unique ID and the field to be updated. But QB wants me to provide data for other required fields in that table. What am I missing? I'm not creating any new records just updating existing records and providing the unique identifier for each record. Can anyone explain the logic in QB about updating records with Import feature? Quite often I need to export data out from this table with 'Export as Spreadsheet' feature. I want to export those actual documents as embedded objects in Excel spreadsheet instead of a link or reference. I wonder if there's any easy way to do this.
