Thanks!Cannot change Record Owner when Sandbox is enabledSince enabling the Sandbox, I am no longer able to change the Record Owner. Without Sandbox enabled, when editing a record on a form I could scroll to the bottom and click a link that said "change" next to the Record Owner. That link is now gone. I see it in the Sandbox, but if I change the Record Owner in the Sandbox and then Publish changes, that doesn't update the Record Owner either (of course I wouldn't expect it to). Is changing the owner of a record no longer supported when Sandbox is enabled? If it is, then what is the method to do it? ------------------------------ Mitch Koyle ------------------------------ Re: Require Child RecordsAndrew, thanks for the reply. This give me a little more to consider. ------------------------------ Mitch Koyle ------------------------------ Re: Require Child RecordsThanks Evan, I'm doing that for one of the tables in question. I was hoping maybe someone had come up with some other technique. ------------------------------ Mitch Koyle ------------------------------ Re: Require Child RecordsYeah, already doing that. Also, sending a notification after a certain amount of time has passed to remind them to go back and create the child record. ------------------------------ Mitch Koyle ------------------------------ Require Child RecordsAre there any techniques or best practices to enforce the creation of child records in Quick Base? We have some tables in which the parent record must have children. So far, I don't have an effective way of requiring, or forcing the creation of the child records. I am currently reminding, or notifying users that they need to create the child records. I'm interested in how others have approached this.Re: How do I keep the user on a specific form for the new child record?Or more accurately stated... I want it to stay on the previously loaded specific form of the child record, rather than load the default form for the child record.Re: How do I keep the user on a specific form for the new child record? But that loads the default form for the child record. I want a specific form loaded. How do I keep the user on a specific form for the new child record?Current work flow... Parent Record is created URL button using GenAddRecordForm is clicked which copies values from selected fields from the parent record and lands the user on a specific add form for the child record (dfid=10) User enters additional data on the child record and clicks "Save & close" User is returned to the parent record I do not want to return the user to the parent record. I want them to stay on the same form (dfid=10) and simply switch to view mode. The next step is for the user to enter a child record of the child (grandchild). I have tried using the "nexturl" parameter, but the problem is that at the time the button is clicked, the ID of the new child record is unknown.Re: Logging edit history for Numeric FieldDuh, we seem to always over-complicate things don't we. One line of code was the solution. Thanks!
