For context, we are trying to use this pipeline to automate ticket creation. So when we want to ship x pieces of equipment we will put a number in a field in the main form. The pipeline would then run and do a search on our inventory, then create a ticket for the number of units we want to ship. Everything seems to be working but i can't reduce the number of results returned when searching the records. My "Search Records" step in the pipeline is returning all of our inventory (which I want) but then i can't reduce the number of results based on a field. Looking at the list of criteria i can use in the advanced query i am drawing a blank for what to use. Any suggestions? Did this solution end up working for your use case? ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Re: Lock a Record if another User has it open For the most part I think that works, thank you for the link! ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Lock a Record if another User has it open I am not sure if this is possible but does anyone know a way to lock a record if another user has it open? Or even better, make it view only if someone else has it open in edit mode? We have multiple people working off a list of records and i want to find a way to stop two people from opening and working the same record at the same time. ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Re: Conditional Values based on unrelated fields That does the trick! Thank you! ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Conditional Values based on unrelated fields I have the following relationships Manufacturer ----->Model Manufacturer------>Assets Model---------------->Assets Location------------->Assets Assets---------------->Ticket Assets Tickets--------------->Ticket Assets What I would like to do is use several lookup fields to filter and select the Asset I want to make my Related Asset when creating a Ticket Asset. Right now I can make the Asset conditional on the Model, and the Model conditional on the Manufacturer, however as the Location is not directly related to Manufacturer and Model I can't also filter by Location. Any suggestions on how to do this? To sum up what i actually need to happen out of this: I need to have a way of finding and selecting an asset that has a specific location, manufacturer, and model (this would bring back a group of them). I would then pick one at random to associate to my ticket asset. Then when I close my ticket I have an automation run that moves the location of the asset out of that list so our inventory is accurate. This seems like a really simple thing that i can't seem to get past. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Re: Bulk Add Records with Two ParentsThank you for this! I ended up using part of this for the solution but you lead me to it! If it helps anyone else, what i did was. Created the Temp Ticket Field Created an automation to run when a new asset record is created and the Temp Ticket field is empty. Had the automation create Ticket assets where the "Related Ticket" ="Temp Ticket" (it relates the asset automatically) Then to keep it clean i had the automation clear out the Temp Ticket field. This runs a bit slower however it makes it easier for my users as they would only need to create the csv and upload it. Thanks again for the help! ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Bulk Add Records with Two ParentsI have three tables that are related. Tickets have many Ticket Assets Assets have many Ticket Assets We did this to let us have an Asset with many tickets and a Ticket with many assets. This is working great for us so far, however I am running into an issue where i want to bulk upload Assets and assign them to Tickets (creating Ticket Assets to make that happen). I am fairly sure i can bulk upload the assets, create a ticket, then bulk upload ticket assets with the related fields filled in. However i was wondering if anyone had an easier way of doing this? My current idea was to upload the assets with a identifier field that relates to the location the ticket would be assigned to. Then i would add the ticket and have an automation trigger to create a Ticket Asset for every Asset record that has the same location. I have not been able to get this to work however as the only field i can fill in when doing this is the record ID (key field) of the asset. Any suggestions of a different direction or a way to get this to work would be appreciated! ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Re: Automation FilterThat worked great! Thank you very much for the help! ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------ Re: Form beautification...Not specifically, however when going through exact forms for the first time i thought an app token was needed. I ended up setting one up for the app and using it. I later took it out for other restrictions but never ran into a problem with my form while i had it in. I forgot about the 64 bit issue, that template is hard to locate, sorry about that. Just in case this is your issue with uploading. You need to open the template, enable macros, go to add ins and select "new exact form" start writing the form (you can use the field ID #s to speed things up) then click save to QuickBase As and log in (you will add your app token here) select the form you want it saved in. I am not an expert on this so take it with a grain of salt, hopefully it helps you though. ------------------------------ Nate Kurtz ------------------------------
