Solved

My table has a Latest Record checkbox to identify the most recent entry among records with the same email address.  That's the record that I would want updated to trigger a notification when the conditions are met by one ore more of the other records.  I have a pipeline setup with On New Bulk Event as the trigger but the test run lead to the multiple record version of the notification being sent.  Is there a way to only have the Add A Bulk Upsert Row done only if the record id for that row doesn't exist in the "bucket" already?  If so, how do I do that?I figured I would try to see if I could get the pipeline to work before re-engineering my whole approach to avoid the multiple record version of the notification being sent.  FYI - it's possible and likely that multiple records in the trigger array will have different email addresses, thus, multiple records would need to get the update to trigger separate notifications.  Let me know if I need to provide more

Hello,I am kind of a new Admin, so please excuse me if I miss something simple.I have a role I created that should have full permission to add, delete, and edit records in a table.  I am an Admin, so I can edit the field that is giving us problems.  However, the person in that role cannot edit that same field.  For this particular table I checked everything to give him full access, but he still cannot make changes to this field in any given record.Any Idea what I am missing.  Is there a time frame thing I don't know about?

I have two tables.  The main table is DSO and the related table is activity.I'm trying to get a report grouped by the DSO Name and bring me back the record ID of the activity where the field Date Roster Reconciled is the greatest.I built a report and have the information like I want it but the link does not take me to the record of the activity.I created a summary field on the DSO table relationship to the activity table that gives me the max of the date field and the max of the record id. I also added the lookup on the activities table.  It's just the link takes me to the DSSO record and not the Activity record. What am I doing wrong?

Good day! Is there a way to automatically send emails to all records that are 21 days past the [File Date] field? As far as I know, emails only get sent out when a record is modified or added. If it's not yet possible, I will highly appreciate any similar workarounds. Thanks in advance!------------------------------frnmj------------------------------

I have a contact name proxy field on an activity form where I use a filter report to only allow the user to select contacts in a particular status. However I still want to allow users to log activities with contacts in other statuses, so I have given them a button to open a new activity form with the contact preselected for them. The issue I'm having is the field appears empty (shows "Search and Select") when this is the case. I know it isn't empty (I display the related record id itself on an admin section elsewhere in the form, and if I edit the name field and hit backspace it changes to indicate it has been edited), but it is very confusing to the user because it looks like it is.I thought a good way to get around this would be to use a form rule to make the field read-only since users won't need to change it in this scenario; however this results in the field displaying the record ID instead of the actual field value! So in either case using a filter report seems to cause a problem f

I have a record that appeared to be missing a related record, but wasn't showing up on a report I have for identifying records with relational issues. It turned out that there was a value in my reference field, but it was pointing to a deleted record. This was not clear at all because the record picker for the related field (I have the record in edit mode) appeared exactly as if it were null/empty.It used to be that when a reference field had a value but there was no record in the foreign table with that id QB would display a red message indicating this, but now it simply says "Search and Select" as if there were no current value there at all. The only way to tell that there was a value there previously is to start editing the field and then hit backspace; QB will then highlight the field to indicate its value has changed (see pics). So I've been tearing my hair out staring at this record because it appeared to have a null value but it wasn't working with any of my null check formulae.

What is the ifv parameter used for? As in "&ifv=0", "&ifv=1", etc.It seems to have something to do with iFrames but I don't see in the documentation or any Qrew discussions an explanation of what it's actually doing. The specific context I'm running across it is in a rich text report formula containing a hyperlink to display a specific record/form in a popup window. At first I thought it was just controlling whether the link would open as a popup, but that appears to be done using `class='OpenAsPopup'`. Also I'm see examples online using values other than 0 or 1, so I don't think my guess makes sense.

I am trying to create a custom rule for a specific Role that prevents this role the ability to view specific records using the Record ID field.  For some reason I can get this to work for one record, but when I add an additional record ID it seems to break.  Can anyone tell me why and what I am doing wrong? In the screengrab below, If I only have one Record ID look up (1643) line it works fine.  When I add the second Record ID for 1881 this seems to break the rule. Thanks,Brian

On Tuesday 01-06-2026, I accidently deleted Claim Records back to August 2025. This is over 2,000 records. I immediately started a case with QuickBase, received an email with a case number. I have not heard back from Tech Support, I've made 2 calls to Sales (hoping for help) and emailed both of our Account Reps. Have not heard back from any one.Any help from any one of how to get ahold of Tech Support would be greatly appreciated.Kathy

tldr; Rich Text Fields use MarkdownI was writing a solution to a User Request problem into our homebuilt ticketing system. It has to do with applying '_curuser_' to a custom Role permission. I noticed that as soon as I hit space after the last underscore, the text changed. This is unexpected behavior and in this case undesireable, I want to maintain the syntax of the custom rule. Today I learned something new and want to share it in case like me you had no idea this would happen. If you type certain characters in a specific order into a Rich Text field, the text changes formatting. Below is a table of all the examples I could find. The left column is preceded and ended by a single quote which causes the text to stay unchanged. The right column is the same syntaxt without the single quotes, note how the formatting is changed. ~ since this Website won't allow some of the characters I inserted an image, sorry to those who like to copy and paste for thier own notes. &nb

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening Ladies and Gentlemen! In the past year I've inherited the Realm Admin role for a coworker that is now no longer with the company. This was a platform he was working on for 3-4 Years before I stated training under him. Is there a way to gain "ownership" of his previous pipelines? As of right now, I can't make any changes, turn off etc these pipelines. So if something needs to be amended I can't do so.As I type this, I realize this might be more of a question for my QB  Rep, but any insight is helpful!

Good afternoon everyone! I couldn't find anything on this, but is there a way to embed a Grid Edit Report from one table into the form of another table? I go to add a report into the Form of Table B, but it doesn't show up as an option. I can't remember from its release if they said this was a feature or slated to be a feature.

im using a Var queryvar number sequencenumber = Size(GetRecords("{53.ex.'"&[Related Profile]&"'}"&If(not IsNull([Record ID#]),"AND{3.LTE.'"&[Record ID#]&"'}")));If([Status]="Active",$sequencenumber,0)I had this working but when the status expires I want it to auto take it out of the sequence when it refreshes. is there anyway to so this the way I had it above I though worked but now it has skipped the numbers when it expires I would like the 2 active ones to reflect 1,2 ect. to each related profile is this possible?

Hey Qrew,I have an app tracking employee safety reports. I have Pipeline emails that send out when a new report is submitted, when it's assigned to someone for follow up, and when that person has submitted the response.I need it to be a Pipeline email instead of a native notification because I need it to send as an email thread to everyone instead of to each person individually. I'm trying to add a link that says "Click here to open the record" in the email so the person it's been assigned to can open the form and modify the fields their role has access to.Can someone help me create that jinja code? I've tried to find it somewhere in the ether and can't find anything that's specific to what I need. Thank you!!

Hello everyone,I have a rich text formula field that I would like to show on the Document Template - what is interesting is that the "legend" is showing but not the pie chart itself.  I am wondering if the style is conflicting with Word essentially.  I tried already wrapping in a div to see if that would solve the issue but it is persisting.  The Code is here and the image of the Document template is below the code.  Thank you so much!Code:var text SZ = "200"; //Adjust this number to make the pie bigger or smaller//include a space after each colorvar text ACOL = "LightSkyBlue "; //Heating All Fuelsvar text BCOL = "Gold "; //Cooling All Fuelsvar text CCOL = "Hotpink "; //Ventilation All Fuelsvar text DCOL = "MediumOrchid "; //Domestic Hot Watervar text ECOL = "CornflowerBlue "; //Lightingvar text FCOL = "Lime "; //Cookingvar text GCOL = "yellow "; //Refrigerationvar text HCOL = "DarkViolet "; //Office Equipmentvar text ICOL = "red "; //Computervar text JCOL = "orange

Hi all,In one of our apps, we have a table called Projects and another child table called Project Staff. On the Projects table, we have a collection of URL buttons to create new Project Staff records for specific project roles. For example, there's a dedicated button labeled "Add SPM" to create a Project Staff record in a pop-up and pre-set the value of the "role" field to "Senior Project Manager." The user then just selects the name of a Senior Project Manager from a filtered drop-down list, and clicks Save.Yesterday, I created a new Formula Rich Text version of this button with the goal of having the pop-up close automatically after the user clicks the "save" button, and then refresh the Projects record they started from. Working from a simple code page/button example I found here, I was able to get it working. I added 5-6 Project Staff records using this new button, and every time, it did what I wanted. Yay!!!Then a few hours later, I circled back to customize the text & col

How would you go about removing one Username from all the records in a table where the User-list contains that Username and still leave any other username selection untouched?Manually, one record at a time?Grid Edit and unselect the one Username, oh and any of the deactivated users or you can't save the record?Export, find and replace, upsert?

In the old form builder, I can create rules that allow to use data from any other fields, just like how you build email notifications.  I used this to update a logging field.  ie.. User [userfield] changed the status to [statusfield]Attached is an exampleIs this still not possible in the NEW form rules?

I have 2 step sign-in enabled on my builder account but for the past 24+ hours have not been receiving the sign in code. Have tried the "I didn't get an email" button, but nothing ever arrives. Checked Inbox, Spam, and Trash. My email is working and receiving other emails.Anyone have a similar experience? I can't submit a support ticket, since builder accounts don't have that option and I can't log in anyway. I also can't disable 2-step sign-in. I'm basically locked out of my builder account because the email with the sign-in code never arrives.

Hello! I am having some difficulties import/exporting from a QB report. This functionality only seems to be available in the Table Homepage, however that does not work for my use case. I need to be able to work offline in an Excel CSV file on specific fields, and then be able to import those fields (associated to a project ID) into my Table. I have over 700 fields in my Table, but the Excel CSV will only have around 40 fields/columns that require updating. When I try to import/export from my Report, that functionality is not available. When I try to import/export from the Table Homepage, I end up exporting all 700 fields/columns, making it really difficult to work on the records offline. What is the best way to solve this problem statement? Thank you in advance!

I have a master price table containing part numbers and customer prices and a child table that adds parts to a customer work order table. I set up a snapshot field to in the child table to capture the current price of a part being added from the master price table. When the part number is selected from the master price table, and  before save is clicked, I want to do some calculations on the current price such calculating Qty. x current price and the sales tax for the part. The problem is the snapshot field isn’t valued until after the record is saved so my calculations for the extended price (Qty x Price) and sales tax don’t display any data until after the record is saved.  Is there a way to do calculations on the snapshot field before saving?I don’t want to base calculations on the lookup field in the master table because I only want the calculations to be based upon the part price when it was first saved

Hello,It seems like there isn't any way to add a "Section Heading" element on QuickBase's new forms. On the legacy forms, I can add a section heading element as way to divide fields with a blue line (see the "Legacy Form" screenshot I've attached). On the new forms, I can't find any way to add a section heading. See the "New Form" and "New Form (Editor)" images I've attahced for reference on how the new forms I created look. Are section headings not available on QuickBase new forms? Please let me know. Thanks in advance!

I have a report that uses parameters to select the information on the report.  I want to show on the report what values were entered for each parameter.  Is there a way to show this in a title or on the report somewhere?

Looking to see if anyone has knowledge of the engine Quickbase is using in the Document Template (Doc Gen) feature? Reason: We are hand editing the source to gain control over the layout. Each time we paste our edited and functional HTML into the Source window and save, the Document Template engine modifies the HTML. When we print the Template the layout does not meet end User requirements. If we know what Quickbase is using, we can read the documentation and learn what HTML is allowed. It is obvious the HTML engine is not compliant with HTML5 and we are struggling. We are chasing our tails. Any ideas ... aside from using a third party solution.

Hello,I am trying to create a Timeline Report for data that has a start date and due date field. The start date of my report is January 1, 2026 and the end date is December 31, 2026, but the Timeline displays December 2025 through January 2027. Filters on the report are set to only pull items that have a Start Date on or after January 1, 2026 AND an Due Date on or before 12/31/2026. The report is pulling the correct information, but the extra weeks/months show on the report and I would prefer they do not.Odd thing, if I change the Start Date range of the report view to February 1, 2026, it accurately starts at that date but still reflects the same amount of records set by the filtering criteria.Am i missing something?
