Tell us about your Realm Set up!
Hello Realm Admin Qrew! I have a question for you to answer: How many realm admins do your organization have? Do you share roles and responsibilities? Example: I have two realm admins (including myself). We share some responsibilities, but would like to give access to everything to my second realm admin. Is that possible? What are the drawbacks I need to be aware of? Let's start a discussion and share your thoughts below!0likes4CommentsProject Intake Form
Hi everyone! bsimon_personalsuggested I post this question here, so I'm hoping someone has something they use! Does anyone have an app that they use for the project intake process? We're trying to develop a way to better capture requests for new solutions (both QB and non) and ask all the right questions up front so we have a better idea of what we're getting into, weighing out the costs, etc., before we just start doing a full discovery and building. We've noticed a tendency of running with ideas without first really weighing out the costs and seeing what software/solutions already exist that could be used, and we're trying to rein it all in. I'm thinking a form that asks things like the below and then enables us to do follow up, create estimates, etc. Thanks! What is the problem you are trying to solve for? What solutions have you explored? What other systems are used for the process where integration may be needed? How frequently would those integrations/syncs need to happen? Who are the stakeholders? How many users will need access? Who will support the solution? Have you budgeted for this/what is your budget?1like1CommentDirect Links to the Governance Core Apps!

Here’s what we discussed: Mihir Molloth from the City of Philadelphia presented their governance strategy for managing Quickbase applications across different city departments as they faced challenges with legacy workflows, data silos, and knowledge loss when employees left the organization. The governance application tracks all Quickbase apps, allows reporting to leadership, and ensures responsible use of the Quickbase license. The governance app has three components: an intake form via Formstack, an intake management app, and a feedback/enhancement request system for app owners. To dig into the app, check out the Formstack intake form, and learn from words of wisdom from Mihir, check out the recording here. Some quick announcements! Thank you all who were able to attend yesterday’s Realm Admin Qrew Meet Up. Here’s a recap of what happened: 1. Josh Miller, Customer Solutions Manager – Governance, gave the group a long-awaited update to the Governance Core Apps. After 25 downloads with customers, he was able to create a sweet suite of Governance Core Apps that will give every Realm Admin a front seat to manage their apps, users, usage, and more. 2. Customers were given a very brief overview of the topic of governance and showcase the updates that were made. He mentioned that it would take about one hour to download then prop up the first iteration of the app. 3. People loved seeing how Josh used code pages to create a guided experience when downloading and implementing the governance apps. 4. A couple of customers wanted to see Replication IDs added to the fields that can be pulled in for the ACC table. Thanks to Dwight Munson for adding it to the feedback tab. Make sure you log into Quickbase to access Product Feedback first before clicking this link to upvote this in the Feedback app. 5. Missed the meeting or want to rewatch all the magic? Hello Realm Admin Qrew! Thank you to all who were able to attend yesterday’s Realm Admin Qrew meet up. The shift in our Qrew meet up schedule caused some login confusion. I posted a discussion link that clarifies April and May’s Qrew Meet Up schedule. Here’s what we discussed in yesterday’s meet up: Rayna Stoycheva shared the latest Quickbase ALM features, including support for forms, cross-app relationships, dashboards, and pipelines. - She demonstrated how to use Solution APIs to create and manage pipelines efficiently, and she and Ventsi Tasev helped answer questions via the chat on these beta updates. Next, Andy Krumrai, Jen Weber, and Mikael Andreasson from Rockwell Automation shared their best practices for using the Sandbox tool. Here are some highlights - They use an intake process with SharePoint to manage software changes. - Sandbox testing helps ensure changes are stable before going live. - They maintain detailed change logs and recommend using service accounts for managing solutions and pipelines. - Multiple folks mentioned they experienced delays with large schema changes (not the expected outcome), which Ventsi let folks know they are investigating and to be sure to put a support ticket with their names mentioned to follow up. Next month, the Realm Admin Qrew will be cancelled. In its place will be a May governance webinar on 5/8/25 that you can sign up for here.
