Count of projects that cross the same month

I am trying to create a summary report that will show me a count of projects that cross the same month.

I have a start date and an end date. Based on the count that I have 4 projects and three of them cross JAN, FEB MAR, then I would want to show JAN - 3, FEB - 3 and MAR - 3

I have a start date and end date that I would use to determine the range of months that the projects span

Any thoughts....
