Is there a way to set the sorting of the grouped columns in a Summary report? I'd like to display the left-most week column to the most recent date in the dataset. Am I missing something here?

It's not possible to directly control that sort.  It will be lowest to highest.

You would need to create some alternate field that would case the columns to sort correctly,
