Changing a Field Based on a Reltionship

Question

I am entering contract information into QB. One of those fields is related contracts for things like amendments. If I enter an amendment, how can I pull data from the original contract and have it populate into the existing agreement I am creating?

I guess the follow up is, can I make them related to each other. It is not a true relationship, I just enter the original contract on the amendment.

Yes, just one table. &nbsp; I want to pull data from the amended contract to the amending contract. The existing to the new one. &nbsp; I did not know you could set up a relationship in the table.
