    I understand your point and brought this up last year in Miami.

    There is three areas that the User Role configurations need help.

    • At the App level, with the Hide UI and the various options for each table
    • At the Table level where the access control for add/modify  and so on are set
    • At the form level.  The new UserRoles() has started to surface the information needed but something must be very complicated in the back end given the text conversion required.

    It is not uncommon to add a couple of tables a week to an application as the business embraces Quick Base and discovers that every spreadsheet being passed around by email is almost as bad as the virus.    The rote mechanical pieces of adding the table and configuring for the User Roles gets very, very tedious.

    Here is hoping for an overhaul in User Role management.
