How to show table filter on the home application (dashboard)

Dashboard reports do not show the Dynamic Filters.

But you can do a trick to get that effect.

If you make a Dashboard element of a Web Page, you can copy and paste the URL of the report as the web link and suffix it with &ifv=1

I tried this solution and the web page widget shows markhentosh.quickbase.com refused to connect.
However, if I click on the "Open in new window" icon in the upper-right corner of the widget, the report along with filters opens fine.  
How can I get the report with filters to display within the widget?
