Numeric formula field showing no data

We are trying to add a numeric formula field's result data to a formula of another numeric formula's and whenever we do, the field just shows up as a blank space, no 0 or anything. The separate fields work just fine and have data in them before we try to add one to the other's formula. Why would this be happening? (hope that makes sense, rather hard to explain) Thank you!

    Is it possible that you have a circular calculation?  Do these fields refer to lookups or summary fields?

    Have you checked the Properties of all the Numeric fields this formula references? Check to be sure the properties are set like this:
