Required an entry from a parent table for an entry into a join table (a many to many table)

Hello

I have two parent tables - projects and organizations. I created a many to many relationship through a joiner table - collaborations. How can I require at least one entry into the joiner table from the "projects" table.

I consider using a multi-select text field instead and use the values from the project table, but i need the ability to pull in other information from the organization table.
