Hi Paul,
I would recommend reaching out to get in touch with the Care team for help with this one. That way they can take a look at the permissions with you and ideally if your user is available do a screen share to see if they can figure out what might be causing that issue. You can get in touch with the Care team by clicking Support here in Community where it appears in the upper right hand corner or when you are in Quickbase by clicking on the question mark icon that appears in the upper right hand corner and selecting "Manage Support Cases". Since it has to do with permissions and might require some tinkering the Care team can be a great resource for helping get to the bottom of the strange behavior you are seeing.

------------------------------- MarkShnier__YouI think the logic of that is if you were allowed to assign any user to any role then obviously you could assign yourself to any role so there's really no secrets from you. So therefore you should be able to test as well because you're the one assigning users into roles.
