It is a particular one. As the site authorization is also tied to the provider, each provider would only only have 1 authorization per study training/site combination and only one provider is associated with a particular event.

Qrew LegendI am not sure if there's a more elegant way but you could make a text field on the site authorization record which combined the provider name with the authorization date. Then float up that combine text field up to the Sites table, then look it up back down to events. The event knows the provider and then you would have a formula that would purse out the possible authorization date provider combinations to find the one that had the right provider and turn that text format a date back into a real date field.

- I played with that but when I bring it back down it is a textlist instead of text and I couldn't seem to parse it. Is there a way to convert it/parse it when it is that type?

------------------------------- I've done things similar to this and while not elegant, it works. The parsing I've done using the Part function. This means I have to break my textlist into many parts and check each part. The upside, it worked. The downside - you have to repeat the part function to be at least as many as the max number of parts possible in your string. This is practical up to a certain number, but if you will have over say 50 parts, starts to become impractical. I'm curious to know if you come up with a sleeker solution.

------------------------------- Mike you are right. A simple loop would make life easier. While I'll have only one record with that matches an event, there are multiple possible values that have to be evaluated to extract the right date. Right now the max is 10 so thinking I can build for 30 for today. I can easily part our the original mutli-text into individual values but how do I loop through to evaluate each one to get match the right one? Any recommendations on how you did this?
