Why does the same form look 'different' depending on if I click the pencil or a field in a row in a report
I have been staring at this all day.
For the role, I have Hide Multi-record Options checked for All Tables.
On a table (Tickets) I have a report with custom columns, no formulas, Initial Filter tickets and some sorting.
The data displays just the way I like.
Now for what I feel is brain dead question that I just haven't been able to put the pieces together in my head.
I have a form that the report uses for updates (in this case, editing only, no adds) :)
When I click on the pencil next to a row in my report, the form displays and the fields are sized as I would like to see.
When I click on an edit-able field in the table to update the field, the same form displays but the fields are sized much smaller than I would visually like. I have 'back-tracked' and it appears to me that the same form is being used in both cases. One of the fields being edited is a RTF that could have a fair amount of information in it so a skinny little box isn't what I would like to see.
I'm on a desktop so that shouldn't be a variable.
Why does the same for display the same fields with different widths depending on the pencil or the field/cell?
Any way to 'disable' having the field edit display the form and allow only the pencil to display the form and update the row?
