I have created a ZAPIER connection between Mailchimp and my ACTIVITY TABLE. This is set up so when an email is sent to a contact in Mailchimp, it will create an Activity in the table. The only part I am having trouble with is that it is not pulling over the CONTACT name to connect the CONTACT to the Activity.

What's the CONTACT field type in QB?

The issue may that the field you are mapping to is looking for the related CONTACT (based on numeric value), rather than the just the contact name (text). You can test to see if this is the case by adding a text field (not a lookup) and seeing if you can map the contact to that field. If it is a field that you cannot edit on a form, its likely you will have issues mapping directly to it using Zapier. If you can confirm we can likely come up with some workarounds.

If I change it to a TEXT then will that field work with the other tables that the Contact is linked to?

No, I would not recommend changing an existing field. You're right to question that. I'm suggesting that you test with a new text field to make sure that your issue is with the field type. Although I'm fairly confident it is, you can use the test text field to confirm. Please do not change your existing field. Apologies if my suggestion was unclear

Is it currently set up so that, when the activity is synced to Quickbase, the contact record id in MailChimp (brought in from Quickbase) is synced to the related Contact in Quickbase for that activity?

It doesn't appear that that when I am creating the action step in the Zap that it gives me that option in the Related Contact drop down list. I am not sure why that is?

Not yet, but I think we are switching to Drip from Mailchimp so I put this on hold!
