So in your alternative scenario, I would technically be sending meeting invites to staff rather than simply syncing their personal calendars to QB, correct? How much flexibility does that give me with updating information in terms of both general event info and staffing changes? (i.e. if someone was assigned to an event and accepted the calendar invite but is later removed from the event, can I send a "cancellation" to just that user so they can remove the event from their calendar?) ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Pipeline(s) for Individual Outlook CalendarsI have users who would like to sync their personal scheduling (event) calendar in our app to their Outlook calendars and it seems like a pipeline is the way to go but because of the way Outlook connects to QB, I'm having a hard time visualizing how each individual calendar would sync independently. It seems like I would need to set up a separate pipeline for each user connected to their Outlook accounts but that seems like a lot to set up/ask of non-technical users. Alternatively, I'm thinking I could set up shared Outlook calendars for each individual user and create a pipeline to sync each individually, which at least keeps the management and admin aspects in my hands--plus I don't think I would need to connect everyone's calendars to the Outlook channel. That feels clunky (?) but I just don't see another way. Has anyone used the Outlook channel to sync to user calendars independently? Any advice or tips would be appreciated! ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Re: Why Are Things Still Showing Up As Using JS? It is not. We are on the Premier level plan and I don't think we pay for that because I never asked anyone to. Might just be a bug in the Javascript app. I'm fairly sure the fields I've been working with are clear. All I'm doing is creating buttons that direct users to a code page with some URL tags and dynamic styling information. As you mentioned, I no longer get the warning when I go to edit those fields. Thanks for your answers! ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Re: Why Are Things Still Showing Up As Using JS?Thanks Austin. I do not get the "unsupported code" popup when I open those fields anymore, which is part of the reason I assumed the fields were fixed (and they very well may be). The Inserted Javascript Usage app was something quickbase released on resources.quickbase.com with the initial announcement about the changes that is supposed to identify areas in your app(s) where unsupported scripting is in use so developers can fix it. From my understanding, it scans your apps weekly and I figured it would no longer display fields once they had been corrected, but I feel like I'm doing a lot of assuming here. That was the main point of my question--I'm just disappointed to have not received the gratification of a smaller number after making changes. ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Why Are Things Still Showing Up As Using JS? Like some others, I have been working on adjusting a few pieces of our app to accommodate for the new JS usage rules and I have quite a few fields that I thought were fixed as I am now directing the browser to a code page where all the JS lives and is executed before sending the user back to the page they were on (so it basically looks like a page refresh). I got all excited to see my number go down in the JS Usage App an lo-and-behold when the app refreshed today, my number didn't change at all. I also completely deleted an app that had a few offending fields that was no longer in use so I expected at least that to change things a bit but no dice... Am I doing something wrong with the JS App? Is there something I'm missing? I would be happy to provide the code for one of the buttons I thought I fixed if that helps but after deleting an app and seeing no change, I'm wondering if it's the reporting app and not my stuff?? ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Re: Report Showing Only Non-Related Records? Thanks for the reply, Mark! I think I've already made it to that point. I have a report table on the form that displays all staff assignment (SA) records on the date of the current D record, related or not, it's the last bit (removing the related SA records from that report) that has me stumped and from your reply a little worried about the alternative here. Ideally, and from a user experience standpoint, I would like the records in this report to be filtered automatically (without the user needing to push a button). There is no situation where those records would need to be shown in that report so I think asking someone to click a button to achieve something we're doing automatically right now is a step in the wrong direction and I'm going to get pushback from users on that one. ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Report Showing Only Non-Related Records?I have a table report on one of our scheduling apps that is supposed to display staff assignment records that share a date with the DAY record being edited but not the staff assignments related to that DAY record. To try to put that in English, it's a report on the DAY record page that shows which staff members are busy on that day but only with other day records. In the past, I was generating the full report of staff assignments sharing the date and then using a clunky IOL and JQuery script to remove the rows that shared a job# with the current record but now that I need to clean all that up and ditch the IOL, I'm having trouble conceiving how I might generate this report dynamically when a user loads the DAY record page because I cannot filter the report in the settings (there's nothing to filter on until a DAY record is chosen). Any ideas on how I might achieve this? I can provide more details, if necessary. I know the first reply a lot of times is "I have no idea what you're talking about" but I think we're all toeing the line on what we can and can't share while still getting our point across. Thanks! ------------------------------ Ryan Huffman ------------------------------ Re: Missing Post Button on Community Pages in FirefoxThanks. Interestingly enough, it looks like the button is there while the page is still loading but is gone by the time the page is done loading. I'll do some troubleshooting of my own and figure it out!Missing Post Button on Community Pages in FirefoxIs anyone else missing the "Post" button on community pages in Firefox? Everything seems to be fine on Chrome but when I go to post a reply to someone's post or a reply to a reply, the text box comes up allowing me to enter my text but there is no "Post" button on the bottom to submit it. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this as well so I know whether I need to do personal troubleshooting or not...Re: this.contentWindow.kRid is a very large number and not the record_id of the table. This is part of the ScoobyDoo method. (4294967295)Was this ever resolved? I seem to be having the same issue when users employ the recently added "Save & Add New" functionality. When they use "Save & Close" everything still appears to be working as intended...
