ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsLast Modified By field capturing wrong user nameI'm baffled, I set up an automation on a table to add a record when a record in another table gets modified. The record is added but it has my name instead of the person who modified the original record. How do I capture the person's name who modified the record instead of mine? (person who created the app). Example: Record is Table 1 is edited by a user, (Last Edited By: captures My Name) / Table 2 adds the record which was edited, but has (Last Edited By: My Name) instead of user who edited record in Table 1, which is what I want to capture. I think the automation is the culprit, but not quite sure. Thanks for any input! ------------------------------ William Wallace Fleet Operations Specialist Motional ------------------------------ In mobile mode, is it possible to create a Save and Next button instead of just save, when editing a record?I have a mobile form that users will use for daily auditing, they have up to 120 "Audit Records" that need to be edited in a single audit. I have a button on a report that takes them to the first record in the table to be audited, but at the bottom it says only "SAVE". I need a "SAVE & NEXT" to take them to the next record in the audit. These audits require quick succession (a minute or two between "Saves") and is too cumbersome for the users to save the record then have to scroll through up to 58 different records to find the next audit in succession. Anyone have any ideas? ------------------------------ William Wallace Fleet Operations Specialist Motional ------------------------------ Re: Can I filter my dropdown selection based on 2 fields in an app to app table relationship? Re: Can I filter my dropdown selection based on 2 fields in an app to app table relationship? I'll try to be more clear about what i'm trying to accomplish/ I work in Location - "Las Vegas" Our "Fleet" consists of several different Vehicles "Vehicle Name", "Vehicle Location ", "Vehicle Type", Etc. in the "Fleet Tracker" Table in App (A) I created a report from this table of "Las Vegas" Vehicles of a specific "Vehicle Type" Called "Las Vegas Vehicles". I am tracking our Vehicles, because they sometimes develop "Issues" in a Table in App (B) I want to bring in the list of Vehicles from that "Las Vegas Vehicles" report into a Dropdown in App(A) to App (B), but when I create a relationship in App B, the report from App A is not visible, only the Table information. I hope this is clear as mud, if I can expand on anything, please let me know. William Wallace FLEET OPERATIONS SPECIALIST | LV 730 E. Re: Can I filter my dropdown selection based on 2 fields in an app to app table relationship? Mark, Sorry, I am totally lost. I've tried following QB help documents to no avail. I went into my Issues App (A - where the dropdown will be) and created a relationship to my Fleet App (B). But when I connect App B, it only shows the main table and not any reports (Fleet Cars, filtered) to connect to. I really really appreciate your help! It's been a lifesaver since I've only been working with QB for 3 weeks now. William Wallace FLEET OPERATIONS SPECIALIST | LV 730 E. Re: Can I filter my dropdown selection based on 2 fields in an app to app table relationship?OK I created the report based on my requirements, now I'm trying to figure out how to share it and have the dropdown pick up the results of the report. ------------------------------ William Wallace ------------------------------ Re: Can I filter my dropdown selection based on 2 fields in an app to app table relationship? Mark, I do have the Relationship setup between table A and B and the dropdown is pulling the list from a column in Table A. So you're saying, I need to control the dropdown on my form by a report I need to create on the Table I'm pulling from? William ------------------------------ William Wallace ------------------------------ Can I filter my dropdown selection based on 2 fields in an app to app table relationship? I have app (B) that has a "Text - Multiple Choice" field populated from a Text field ("Vehicle Name") in a table in app (A). I now have the total list of vehicles from app (A) I can now select. Is there a way to filter the vehicles based off 2 other table fields (A - "Location" & "Type") in app (A)? I can't find any kind of control in the form field properties in app (A) that I can limit what the choices are. Is this even possible? I re-watched the Cross-app relationship video in QuickBase U, but it's not too clear. Thanks in advance with any suggestions. ------------------------------ William Wallace ------------------------------ Is it possible to create a button to take you to the first (Edit) record of a specific table from the reports page?Hi All, Is it possible to create a button on a form page to take you to the first (Edit) record of a specific table on a form? Then create a Save button that takes you to the next (Edit) record in the table? Scenario: I have multiple tables, each populated from a master table that contains audit locations that have to be done in sequence. (DISCLAIMER: Audit needs to be done on mobile mode (iPhone 12 - 100's of users)) i.e. User clicks first button, it opens the first record in the table in edit mode, then the user picks the status dropdown and leaves a note (if applicable), then clicks another button to save and go to the next record in the series, etc, etc, etc, till last record is saved. I hope I'm making sense. Thanks for any guidance. ------------------------------ William Wallace ------------------------------ Re: How can I enter minutes in a form?I got this one to work ([Time End] - [Time Began]) - Duration ------------------------------ William Wallace ------------------------------
