This field is one of the dynamic filters on the report. Every few months, I get notified that "Quickbase is not working". What is happening is that someone has managed to change the default filters within the Sales table default report to look for Salesperson X rather than using the dynamic filter on the report page. Question #1: Is there a way to restrict someone from going into the default report and making changes? (Kind of like making a document "Read Only" in Word) I don't want to change permissions or restrict a field that is used in a lot of reports. Question #2: Is there a way to go in and see who has changed and saved the report? (So that I can talk to them, if the same person is responsible) Background: I don't use the Sales table in my day-to-day but have become the default Quickbase problem solver of the office. Which is why people are notifying me that the report isn't "working". It's not a big deal, but does interrupt my day as it becomes my priority when I'm told the entire app isn't working only to find out it's this small issue. ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Re: Due Date cannot be today That did it. Thank You! ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Due Date cannot be today Good Morning, Is there a way to restrict a date field? So there is a table for Task Z. Dept. A creates new tasks, however, once created the second step in the process is done by Dept. B and there is a Due Date field to let Dept. B know when their step needs done. Dept. A has a habit of just putting today's day as Due Date. Dept. A has been told multiple times not to do this but still does it anyway. Is there a way to restrict that field so that Due Date cannot equal Today? (I don't need or want it to auto calculate based on a set time frame, like today is 3/15 so the due date is automatically 3/16. The due date could be 3/16 or it could be 3/21 or it could be 4/28, as long as it is a least 1 day in the future so that Dept. B actually has time to work on it.) ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Re: Color Coded Calendar Report FormulaThank you! I knew it should be simple but it is Friday; my brain is mush :) ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Color Coded Calendar Report FormulaI have the calendar report with a color coded formula so that if the field "Salesperson" is the user it is one color, and if not user it is a different color. Case([Salesperson], User(), "#F0cd95", "#eddd85") I'd like to add a third option/color, if the Salesperson is "Not the User but Not Blank". This seems like it should be simple, however I'm drawing a complete blank about how to write this. So, I'd like: User = Color 1 Not User = Color 2 Blank = Color 3 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Re: Import from Excel into a formAs I indicated, importing from Home page won't work. If that is my only option then it just won't work. I need SIMPLE. Thanks ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Import from Excel into a formIn Quickbase, I have an Estimate table where each record is an estimate. (Record ID# becomes our estimate #) The actual estimate is created in Excel. For tracking and reporting purposes, there are several fields in my Quickbase table that overlap with cells in Excel. Things like the estimate $, travel time charged, local tax rate used, etc. Currently, information is manually entered again into Quickbase after the estimate is created in Excel. What I would like to do is, go to the form associated with that Record/Estimate # and import the overlapping information that is already in the Excel spreadsheet into that Record. Hopefully stream-lining the process and reducing errors. The problem I am having is everything I find on importing into Quickbase deals with large amounts of information into multiple records from the Home page. Whereas I want to update multiple fields within a single record from the Estimate Record Form. Having to import from the Home page would likely confuse many of the less computer savvy people in the office and I need the end process to be simple. (FYI, I am much more comfortable in Excel and I can easily create a macro to pull out the information from Excel into a Quickbase friendly format. I'm not worried about that end.) So, in summary I'd like to: 1) Create a record in the Estimate table. 2) Separately create estimate in Excel. 3) Go back to the Estimate Record in Quickbase and import data into specific fields for just that record. Can this be done? If yes, how would I go about doing it? or is this just a pie in the sky dream? I really need the end result to be as simple as filling out the info in the record manually and saving. Thanks ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ URL HelpI want to add a link to a form to the CA State Sales Tax website but all I'm getting in the form is a blank text box. I got it to work on a testing app I have but not on my real app. Here's what I have (everything is exactly the same on my testing app) Here's what it looks like on the form Here's what it looks like on my testing app I can't figure out what's different and why its not working. Anyone know what is missing? ------------------------------ Brianne Jacobsen ------------------------------ Re: Auto Filltypo's aside.
