Hi Erica,

My name is Jeff and I work on the QuickBase Support Team. In addition, I also provided feedback and assistance to the development and design teams during the creation of the new UI. This is a great question because admittedly it's pretty glaring to see all these great new changes in QuickBase, yet this one major area of the product has remained unchanged, and looks pretty dated in comparison.

Unfortunately, at this time I can't really provide a timeframe on when these screens will be updated, but I can assure you that the teams here at QuickBase are well aware that changes need to be made, and we're formulating plans now to do so. Just recently, a group of engineers, myself, and the design team have begun discussions on ways we can improve form customization in QuickBase. We hope to do more than just a simple UI change for this area of the product. We want to add some great new functionality to make it much easier than ever to customize your forms. At this point it's a little too early to talk about what we have in mind, but it's something that I think a lot of our customers will be excited to see.

One of the real benefits of New QuickBase is it introduces a lot of newer web technologies into our code. Technologies such as HTML 5 will allow us to make more modern changes to QuickBase going forward. One such example of this is the drag and drop functionality we added recently to help you organize and group reports. That is something we weren't able to do well in the old UI. You can expect to see more changes like this in the near future. The best advice I can give is to just keep an eye on the release notes we post just prior to each release as we'll be sure to highlight in detail when we've made changes to form customization.
