Default setting to open in same page for Reports
Hi, Is there a way for my app settings to automatically default to 'open in the same page' when editing a report? I know how to change the setting within the field itself but not when editing a report record. This ends up with a host of tabs open in my browser vs. staying within the project record itself.
Gauge Report for action items - Goal 0
Looking to have a gauge chart with 0 entries being what good looks like. We are using it to identify action items for our team. As QuickBase won't allow you to have your start larger than your goal, and results displaying based on a percentage, it makes setting the colors for the gauge super challenging as well. Any suggestions?
QuickBase Reports Help
Hi all, new to QuickBase but not new to database tools. I'm trying to build a specific report within QuickBase. In Tableau it's called a Bowling Sheet. A non-propriety example looks like this: https://www.allaboutlean.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Bowler-Chart-Example3.png Ive been able to get sort of close in QuickBase by using the Summary Report, and I can group columns by Month to achieve the same result, but my issue is that it's giving me a COUNT of the data that's being reported instead of the actual value of that data. I'm sure it's something stupid/easy that I'm overlooking, but I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.Embedded New Grid Edit Reports: Filters & Sorting Not Available in Edit Mode?
Hi everyone, I'm running into an issue with embedded New Grid Edit reports on a form and wanted to see if others have experienced the same thing. When the parent form is in Edit mode, the embedded New Grid Edit report does not allow filtering or sorting. However, when the parent form is in View mode, the same embedded report does allow filtering and sorting. Is this an expected limitation of New Grid Edit reports, or is it a bug? My use case is that users need to select records from a potentially large list using inline editing (checkboxes). Without filters or search, they have to scroll through many records, which defeats much of the purpose of inline editing. Has anyone found a workaround or implemented a better pattern for this scenario? I'd really appreciate any suggestions or confirmation on whether this is simply a current product limitation. Calculate Team percentage from individual percentages
I have a table and report where we calculate each employee's individual capacity percentage by adding up the hours they have placed into a table and dividing it by 40. I now need to take those employees and show the same type of percentage but based off each manager. So if Team A has 4 people, Team B has 5 and Team C has 3, how can I show the team's percentage in a report?Chart report name not existing in dashboard if there's no records
Has anyone had a fix to have a report name on the dashboard assuming the chart report is empty and there's no records to show. I would like to know the report without having to view the full report. This is how it is displayed. I know I can create a richtext above the report to show the report title but that's not an efficient way to use the field and also it will look weird when the report has data since there will be two titles and there are not rules to defy this.
Daily Auto Email By Job Number
I have this daily report (see attached) that changes every day. I would like to email this automatically each evening at 4:00 PM to myself, but, want each project number to have its own separate email with the job number in the title of the email. Any suggestions on how to go about this? (Ex. using the attached document, for this particular day, I would have 3 emails total: project 12346 with 1 ticket listed, 199990 with 1 ticket listed and 12345 with 2 tickets listed.)Filtering data on mobile devices
While using an iPhone or iPad mobile device, I'm trying to figure out how to display the filter icon on reports, but can't get it to display. Is the option to change report filters on mobile devices still supported? See the attached screen shot for for an example of what I'm looking for. I'm using Safari as the browser and also tried displaying the filter icon using the Quickbase mobile app. Thanks, Jim Lieder
