Hi everyone, I had a user request a line chart that is filterable by contact showing the Total Opportunities Created as one line and another line showing the total revenue generated. The idea is the lines would have 2-3 colors per set (YTD, last year, 2 years ago) and would be filterable by the contact they select. The challenge is to my knowledge you cannot dynamically filter formula queries. So how would you go about this? Basically when he does his quarterly business review meetings with clients he wants to pull up a chart showing how many opportunities we generated and how much revenue generated for that person. Than switch to another person for the next meeting

I have a pipeline that says it's updating a record but it's not.I have an identical pipeline that is working.  It take a file attachment uploads it to Sharepoint and then updates the quickbase record with the link to the sharepoint attachment.I have two on the same quickbase but different tables.  The first one I created works fine and the second one says it works and it does except for updating the quickbase record with the sharepoint link. How can I tell where it is failing?Carol

I have two related questions!Someone suggested using grid edit reports on my forms for a more all-in-one parent-child editable comprehensive form. That's not working at least on my end -- has anyone had grid reports be available within a form?I'm reorganizing another section of my app for a division that hasn't moved over to my current setup yet. In their legacy setup, there is currently a one-form-fits-all, which requires many things based upon the service level they rendered. We're moving to a "Clients", "Cases", and "Service Calls" -- which means I no longer can require things at the Client or Case level based upon the extent of the service call..... is this just a trade off I have to make?  I'm concerned people might not go back into the parent record and update with additional information as it's received in this new setup (and hence why the grid edit would honestly be a fabulous option -- bring the Service Call record right onto the master record and edit it all from there).

I have three tables in Quickbase:EmployeesTrainingsProfilesI’m trying to build a Pipeline that automatically assigns trainings to employees based on their "profile".Example:The "profile" called “Basic”requires:CPR TrainingFirst Aid TrainingIf John Doe is assigned the “Basic” profile, the Pipeline should automatically add John Doe to the existing CPR and First Aid training records.A few important requirements:The Pipeline should only add trainings where the Employee Profile matches the Training Profile. The Pipeline must check for duplicate trainings and NOT add the employee to a training if they are already associated with it.If this can be done without a Pipeline I am all ears.

My parent table is "Change Requests" and child table is "Prompts." The prompts tables houses prompts to a chatbot and the Change requests table houses all change requests (bugs found, knowledgebase expansion etc) that stem from prompts that have a negative feedback. So each prompt could have a change request. I created a Related Change request numeric reference  to link the two tables and a corresponding Change Request (Text (reference proxy) ) and this allows me to look up and choose a parent record to assign the child to.However, I first need to create the parent record before it shows in the drop down menu of the Change Request (Text (reference proxy)) field. Further, I would like to filter this drop down to only show Change requests related to that particular Bot (as the Prompt table houses data for multiple Bots). Is there a way to create a new 'Change Requests' record from within the Prompt's table?I have Prompts collected for two Bots - Is it possible to filter the Change Req

My app has a few different role, the main ones being admin and business. as of now the admin role is behaving exactly how i would expect it to, (i.e., records are read only based on certain flags) but the business role (the one the actually users will use) is not behaving the same way as it is allowing edits. I dont have any form rules at the role level, the tables used have no restrictions on which fields to modify. How can i get the business role to behave the same as admin so records are read only based on certain flags?

When a parent record is added, and a specific "issue type" is selected from the drop down list is there a way to require a task record to be created. The add task is a linked table within the parent record.

I have a pipeline with a search records step using an advanced query. It is successfully returning the records I'm after, but I would like to also sort the results so I can grab a particular one.Is it possible to specify options for an advanced query within a pipeline search records, or am I limited to just a simple query string? The documentation doesn't mention how to incorporate other params in a pipeline just the query string. My current query string:{'3'.XEX.{{a.id}}}AND{'16'.EX.'Update'}Thanks!

I have a pipeline which has a search step from a list of students. In the filter I want to include the names I want and not the entire list.  SchoolName is xxx ANDStudent Name contains John  OR Student name contains Michael ORStudent Name contains Joan OR.......they are 24how can I approach this using using advance filters

I have a pipeline that when an attachment is saved in QB, then it takes that attachment moves it to SharePoint and then retrieves the SharePoint Link and updates the quickbase record with that link. Now I want to know is there a way for an email that has attachments, to save the attachment also.  Right now when they open the email, in order to see the attachment, they have to open the email in Outlook. Thanks,Carol

I am trying to access the XML API from Excel. If I embed my User Token in the request URL, things work fine: I go to Data -> From Web, paste in my query URL, and after a little drilling down, I got my data.HOWEVER: The spreadsheet that calls the API is to be passed around, and word on the street is that leaving my User Token in a shared document is Not A Great Idea(tm). If I use the query URL without my User Token, I get an authentication window of sorts from Excel, but if I select the Basic tab and enter my credentials, I get a message "We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again".My goal is to have every user enter their own QuickBase credentials when refreshing the data in the spreadsheet. I can't use the QuickBase add-on for Excel, and I can't create a shared account to access the data.Is there a good way to do this? Thanks!

Hi folks. I am trying to get an advanced filter to work in a pipeline so that I don't have to enter all 81 combinations in.I don't speak Jinja (yet), so I used AI to help me code this. It looks good to me, but when we ran a test, the pipeline did not trigger. I assume it has to do with the way which the Jinja is written. Can anyone help me understand what I did wrong, here? Here is the offending code. It's also been tried without the various cleanup filters on the fields (trim, float, string). All string values for these fields come from pre-defined lists, and the two hours fields are numerics. I think the problem has to be either the syntax or references; I don't think the actual logic is bad.{{(a.Req_Status|string|trim) == 'Submitted'and (a.Requested_Hours|float) < (a.Provider_Expected_Hours|float)and (a.Approv_Mgr1_Response|string|trim) in ['Approved', 'Not Available', 'Not Required']and (a.Approv_Mgr2_Response|string|trim) in ['Approved', 'Not Available', 'Not Required']and (a.App

I am trying to create a dynamic report that will stay updated with our top 25 clients based on their ACV. I have a checkbox field on each account labeled 'Top 25'. My goal is to have this automatically updated based on each account’s ACV. Ideally this proccess would:  Look at all eligible AccountsRank them by ACV from highest to lowestIdentify only the top 25Check the Top 25 checkbox for those AccountsUncheck Accounts that fall out of the Top 25Recalculate this automatically on a schedule The main issue I'm having is the Search Records step lets me set a record limit of 25 without giving me an option to sort the results by ACV. Because of that, I’m concerned that limiting the search to 25 records would not necessarily return the 25 highest ACV accounts. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Wanted to see if I could get report records using JSON Fetch step. I get a response but there are no records in the response, just headers and metadata.  Method: POSTURL: https://api.quickbase.com/v1/records/queryAuth schema: Quickbase UsertokenHeaders:QB-Realm-Hostname: yourrealm.quickbase.comContent-Type: application/jsonAccept: application/jsonGet a report. For future me.

In quickbase, I have a field for user and datetime. There are several project status like pending, submitted, review, approved and denied. Everytime in the status field change I want to record who did the change and date time. I want to use the two buttons. submitted by and submitted datetime field to track the audit history or logs. I did try with a pipeline but there is no data being recorded. Anyone done this before?

Looking to have a gauge chart with 0 entries being what good looks like. We are using it to identify action items for our team. As QuickBase won't allow you to have your start larger than your goal, and results displaying based on a percentage, it makes setting the colors for the gauge super challenging as well. Any suggestions?

Hi,Is there a way for my app settings to automatically default to 'open in the same page' when editing a report? I know how to change the setting within the field itself but not when editing a report record. This ends up with a host of tabs open in my browser vs. staying within the project record itself.

Wondering if anyone else is noticing this new behavior with the platform. I notice it most when typing in rich text fields. The field is responsive and works well for the first few hours of the day. Sometime around 9-12 pacific time the behavior changes. Here is what I am seeing. As I type the carat stops and then suddenly fills in the text and then stops etc. It reminds me of a buffer overflow. Closing all Quickbase browser windows and logging back on clears the problem. I use Firefox, ad-block plus and tampermonkey to tame the UI. Totally possible that is the cause, checking to see if anyone else is seeing this behavior?

Hello Qrew!Day 1 of EmpowerPro had a lot packed in, from the vision and roadmap to new AI features, Pipelines and grid report upgrades, and FastField with Extensions. What clicked for you? What can’t you wait to try?The roadmap: What from this morning got you excited, and does it change how you’re thinking about your work?   The AI features: Chat history, session memory, and the data analyzer skill are all new. Which would you try first?   Fixing and building: Pipelines can now resume from where they failed, and FastField and Extensions make paper processes easier to move online. Which would save you the most headaches in the future?Based on what you saw on day 1, what do you want to see next? More educational resources or courses? Meetups or webinars on certain topics? Is there something that you want to flag for us to be aware about? Jump in, and if someone’s answer sparks an idea, reply to them too. I’d especially love to hear from anyone who’s already tried something from today. Th

Hello all, does anyone if it's possible/how to dynamically hide/show reports and other information in document templates? I have a case where certain reports are needed for one common type of report, while other types of reports I need to generate use different reports. At the moment any time I want to include/exclude data for a report I would have to make an entirely new document template, and then manage that going forward. All help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi,We're currently exploring ways to integrate Outlook with our Quickbase CRM to make it easier for our Account Managers to log and track client email communications.Previously, we used Salesforce, which offered an Outlook integration that allowed users to select an email directly from their Outlook inbox and choose which Salesforce record (Account, Opportunity, etc.) they wanted to associate that email with. This made it easy to log relevant client communications without having to manually enter the information into the CRM.In SF, their integration allowed:  Click an option such as "Log to Salesforce" Search for and select the appropriate Account and/or Opportunity. Save the email, including its subject, sender, date, and body in the Account or Opportunity. Have the logged email automatically appear under the selected Account or Opportunity Our goal is to allow users to selectively log emails and determine which records they're associated with, rather than automatically logging

Is it possible to run a table Refresh/Sync, for a Google Drive Connected Table,  within a pipeline?  I want to refresh a table at a specific scheduled time and then run a Table to Table import job.  The refresh scheduling on the connected table is not specific enough since it is anytime within a one hour period. Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.------------------------------Christine Carpentier------------------------------

Does Quickbase offer a way to give non-technical team members view-only access to Pipelines?
