- MCFNeilQrew CaptainThere are a few apps in the "App Exchange" that you could download and see how those CRM systems work for you. You will more than likely need to make some heavy modifications to get them to do what you need.
As far as your second request. You will need an Add-On that can create the desired Word Doc or PDF. There are a few options out there, but we us an add-on called CirrusForms that can create the document you need.
A few other development companies have similar tools, I'm bias, but I think ours is much better.
Do you have an app already, or are you new to QuickBase? - JohnFerrettiQrew TraineeNew to quickbase and testing it out. I've been viewing some apps in the app exchange and also working by creating my own. The Qu-Soft Contractor one has some items in there but unsure how to replicate some of the items.
- MCFNeilQrew CaptainWelcome to QuickBase.
That app has a few good features, but is pretty dated, and uses some sub-par techniques.
You should work with your QuickBase rep to better match your needs with an app or an app developer that can help you.
I like this analogy about QuickBase;
You are the future home owner, QuickBase is Home Depot.
Home Depot will provide all the tools and materials you need, they will even give you some help classes, ... But, if you really want to build a good house, you'll need a good contractor.
Either way, I hope you find what you need. - JohnFerrettiQrew TraineeThanks for your help, i'm moving along with the set up, but having formatting issues in reports, some field headers will not change now matter what when I edit the field properties. I changed a name of a field to customer, but the report column header for the field says company and wont change
- QuickBaseCoachDQrew CaptainOn a table report, if you are viewing the table and click on the blue drop down there is the opportunity to rename a field heading, just for that report.
I suspect that you have an override loaded and do not realize it. - MCFNeilQrew CaptainIn that sample app they might have put column headers overrides on some of the reports.
Just an idea, but try clicking the drop-down and select column properties. and see if those are what is causing the issue.
Also, I'd recommend using Google Chrome as your browser, the other browsers always seem to have little bugs in them like this because they cache the old data. - JohnFerrettiQrew TraineeI just found it as i saw the reply come through. That was the issue. Thanks!
