Pull in Salesforce Data Using external Azure/Sql database

We have been given 3GB of Salesforce data to create a QB app. Since there is a 500MB limit on tables, we are looking into some other ways to connect an external Azure database to QB so we can still use the front end functionalities of QB. We are looking into options to connect these two, but wanted to come here and see if any of you had other options for how to pull in this data without hitting the 500MB limit on table size. I am happy to give any further details if necessary. thanks!

  • I would first determine what structure your application will take. This will give you an idea of how you need to break up the data. Once you've done that, I can't imagine that you would be near the 500MB per table.

To echo what Blake said above, note that in Quick Base formula fields, look up fields, and summary fields, do not count for space.

What Blake is saying is that much of the data is probably repetitive. For example if it was a dump of sales data and had a bunch of fields for customer information such as their name address phone number etc., those would all be look up fields in a properly structured QuickBase app.
