Sorry Austin I realize I forgot a critical part of my comment. You cannot create cross app relationships in the sandbox even if both are in the sandbox environment. You actually have to disable sandboxes for both apps in order to set it up. Obviously this type of change is one that ideally you would test extensively before you go into production but cannot, unfortunately.

That makes sense. Sorry for assuming there.
Yeah there are many limitations with the sandbox. It is a good tool to use I think but you must work around those limitations. Before we had the sandbox all we would do is create copies of an app and work in there until we were satisfied that the feature worked as intended then we would duplicate the work in production. So for us the sandbox is a benefit in the end. But like I said I agree that it really does need some updates to be a good product.
What I found really interesting about this whole thing was that apparently a saved table to table import with an automation will not work with the sandbox enabled. Yet if you do that same table to table import manually into an app that is sandboxed it works just fine. This is something I refer to as "Quickbase magic". The things that go on behind the scenes that often make no sense and leave you scratching your head wondering why it would work like that. I wish more of this magic was exposed to the user.
