Email Notifications: Multiple Record Version: is there a way to send an individual notification for each record changed instead of just a link to a summary report?

I have an email notification set up to go to the person in the "Requested By" field each time a record is saved and the Status changes to Complete.

Each week, several records are changed to Complete Status at one time (using Grid Edit), but I need individual notices to be sent to the requestor. They need to get one email for each record that has moved to Complete Status.

One report could (and usually does) have more than one record with the same "Requested By" value.

Is this possible?

Well no.

So my suggestion is to provide the users with a button to click to change the status to "Complete" and refresh the report.  Then the users would be able to quickly do their updates, but still "one by one", thus triggering the individual update.

Let me know if you need help in making such a button.

Yes, this is possible if I understood the requirement properly. In the notification settings page, you have an option "Operations" under "Advanced Options" which has 3 options to select.
  •  only when single hot orders change (e.g., Add, Edit)
  •  only when multiple hot orders change (e.g., Import)
  •  for either type of change
You can select "for either type of change" and set contents for "Single Record Version". This way, you will get notification for separate records as well as a consolidated multiple records update email.
I hope this works for you.

Sorry, but your answer is not correct.  The multiple version Notification will fire after a Grid Edit or import updates multiple records in one Save or one import. The multiple record version is a link to a report of the changed records.

If you import 1,000 records it will not send 1,000 separate email notifications.

if you are ok with a 3rd party add-on, Courier for QuickBase, can handle this type of functionality

Mark,  I was wondering if Quickbase has yet changed this feature? We have many changes we make in Quickbase using the grid edit function and need to send unique emails once changes are made.  It would help substantially if each email could retain unique record information.   Is this a plan for Quickbase in the future?
I have no outside or inside knowledge that changing this behaviors is even on their todo list.  I suspect its not even on any plans they have.  I can help you a script to launch emails by pushing a button, though if that is of interest to you.  The script would walkl down the records on a particular report (ie it needs to be set up for a particular report)  and then it would fire individual emails.  but it would not be able to identify what changed.
