I would like to take a training class on formula training.  What type of code are the formulas written in?

Hi!

QuickBase uses its own proprietary language which it doesn't share with any other programs.  However, it is closely related to Microsoft Excel's functions, so if you're handy with that, you should be good with QuickBase!  90% of formulas will consist of If/Then type functions, perhaps the occasional Case function.

As stated above, https://www.quickbase.com/db/6ewwzuuj?a=td is a great resource which will help you locate all functions that can be used in a formula.  Along with the formulas that a can be used, any field you create can also be used in a formula.

The best way to learn, in my opinion, would be to just try it out!  Go into your app and think of some formula field that you could make and try to make it.  Have a date on your app?  Make a formula that shows that date plus 7 days later.

Be creative and have fun!
