Help me write a formula that is dynamic
Me again. This is the perfectionist in me. I'd love suggestions on if it's possible (and how) to write a formula that calculates a person's age based upon DOB field, converts it into a category ("0-12", "13-17", etc.), AND ALSO where that field can apply the reference date based upon a report filter. So, if in the future I need to see a report and the age needs to convert to the date where it would be in the beginning of that date range (or even more ideally, if it can reference the first date of service within the filtered time range on a connected table and apply the rule as it would have been in that time frame), that way I can always see what we would have received as a report-out at that point in time if I needed to go back and spot-check something. I know that sounds terribly convoluted. It's for grants reporting, and honestly these are some of the items that get at some of the most obnoxious calculations we're asked to report out on...... If I can't make it perfect, no big deal, but I thought I'd see what you all can conjure up. Example: Person is 17 at the time they come to receive services for the first time. The dynamic field should be able to reference my "Services" table, see when the first Service record within the filtered quarter is, and apply the age range. The following quarter, we'd actually report them out again, but applied to the new quarter -- and let's say they turned 18, so for THAT filter, I want it to now produce the updated age group. Ultimately, accuracy within my present reporting period is of chief importance, but ideally, the ability to pull up historic records and check would really be fantastic.Quickbase Related Web Sites Impacted by Microsoft Azure Outage

Hey all! This is going to be a vulnerable post and I deliberated whether I'd post, but this has always been an incredibly supportive community. I am going through a challenging time in life having lost my mom a couple of months ago, and one of the most surprising ways this has affected me is -- my brain is just "off" for Quickbase. I'd been asked to head up a project cleaning up a former app developer's less-than-ideal-state work, which is something I very much would like to do; but I'm literally logging in daily and looking at my screen, with Quickbase being a small percentage of what I'm generally responsible for day-over-day, and I am just unable to get started. Has anyone experienced this? Any tips for snapping yourself back into shape? As a musician outside of work as well, I realize Quickbase is very much also a creative space, and when I think about whether you could just command yourself to write a song on demand, it feels like a similar mental lock-out where you don't have a lot of control over when your creative energy is going to come back. Would love any feedback and apologies for the sort of odd post. I've been sitting with this project for about 6 weeks now and it's going exactly no where. I either need to take a full pause from the project, or figure out how to get my head in this game.
Use AI to create a field based on another text field
Is it possible to use AI to create a field "Category" based on another text field "Description." The field description is of-course is verbose and all over the place. But technically LLM should be able to create a succinct 'Category' field for me by parsing the actual topic of discussion captured in the description field. I have a form where a requester enters the information in a form using steps. After submission an approver will approve the request in the same form (pipelines are used to push the approval info to the approval table). I don't want the approvers to see the steps when they edit the form. Is there a way to changed the view from steps to tabs in edit mode based on role?
Document Template Spacing
Hello, I am looking for any advice/help on QuickBase's Document Template issues I have been experiencing. I have a word template that I have uploaded that is a single page, however it keeps spanning multiple pages when I uploaded. Has anyone been able to adjust the spacing in Document Templates? I can't find any way to do it, it seems to default to a double space and I want single spaces. Has anyone been able to find a way to keep their documents templates to just a single page easily? Thanks
